CATHODE RAY TUBE (CRT) INDIRECT PURCHASER ANTITRUST SETTLEMENT OPPORTUNITY
WHAT IS THIS SETTLEMENT ABOUT?
This lawsuit claims the Defendants conspired to fix, raise, maintain or stabilize prices of CRT Products resulting in overcharges to consumers who bought CRT Products such as Television and Computer Monitors.
Cathode Ray Tube Products means Cathode Ray Tubes of any type (e.g. color display tubes, color picture tubes, and monochrome display tubes) and finished products, which contain Cathode Ray Tubes, such as Televisions and Computer Monitors. Your company is likely eligible if it purchased a CRT Product (TV or Computer Monitor) made by Defendants anytime between March 1,1995 through November 25, 2007.
Recently, Mitsubishi agreed to pay $33,000,000. There was a previously approved settlement of $576,750,000 which had a claims filing deadline of December 7, 2015. There is no claims deadline for the additional $33,000,000 but it is expected to be in 2018.
IS YOUR COMPANY ELIGIBLE FOR THE SETTLEMENT?
Your company is likely eligible if it indirectly purchased a CRT Product (TV or Computer Monitor*) made by Defendants ** for its own use and not for resale anytime between March 1,1995 through November 25, 2007.
“Indirect” means simply that you purchased CRT Product from anywhere except from one of the Defendants.
*Almost all brands of TVs and Computer Monitors are eligible, except Sony.
**The eligible states include: Arizona, Arkansas, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
The class period for Hawaii is June 25, 2002 through November 25, 2007.
The class period for Nebraska is July 20, 2002 through November 25, 2007.
The class period for Nevada is February 4, 1999 through November 25, 2007.
